The Challenge

Moving offices can be a daunting task for any business, especially one so focused on customer experience. The transition from one physical location to another can be disruptive, and if not meticulously managed it can have a negative impact on operations.

This was the challenge that Buyagift faced in early 2018.

The Solution

Using the latest cloud-based technology, our team were able to minimise the level of disruption brought on by the move whilst greatly improving Buyagift’s network and communications infrastructure. Solutions included:

Installing a new 3CX communication solution into a VMware infrastructure. This is a software-based system that can be hosted remotely – meaning that calls can be easily redirected to wherever you are
Migration from ISDN phone lines to SIP trunking, an internet-based phone system
Cisco Meraki security gateway, active and passive failover
Cisco Meraki wireless

The Results

During the office move, the customer service department managed to answer every enquiry with not a single call lost, all thanks to the newly installed 3CX system. We diverted Buyagift’s telephone number to ensure that calls could be picked up despite the disruption caused by the move.

Meanwhile, the introduction of Cisco Meraki into the new office has provided their IT staff with greater ease of management and much higher visibility of their network performance.

Cisco Meraki wireless has helped Buyagift’s increasingly active workforce by allowing them to access critical business applications throughout the office and its various meeting rooms.
